Internal friction of the internal combustion engine causes a loss of about ten percent of energy efficiency. The main friction points come from the piston assembly, valve structure and crankshaft. Because the gear needs a large amount of lubricating oil for movement, it will result in loss of efficiency.
The use of HC coating on the surface of the parts, thereby increasing the load density and reducing the demand for lubrication. Due to its coating and surface treatment, some easy-grinding vibrations(like Titanium)and wear of the materials can be used in racing field, when doing coating and surface treatment process, it can reduce the friction coefficient, increase the hardness, and keep the core properties of the substrate material.
